Our Alaskan Life...

Here are two pics of our sunset last night....we just stand in aw of God's beauty. How blessed we are to be able to stand in our living/dining room and see all His glory. We hope the pics relay some of what we see, although when we take the pics, it doesn't compare to what we see here. So our deck and home is always open for those who want to come and enjoy it with us!!


Every morning when I go to get Abe out of his crib, we open the blinds. Each day I hope to open them to find some wild life just outside. Well...this was the morning. Abe and I were able to watch a Momma Moose nibbling on sticks, what's left of the bushes, and make her way around the back/side of the house. Abe was all smiles while he watched this huge animal from his window. He has a stuffed moose that was given to me from my fater and now it is Abe's...he seemed to know that the moose in his room was just like the moose outside....we call him Moosey Moose!

Our One Year Old!

Our Abey has been such a cheezer lately with the camera. Now when we take it out he smiles big and squints waiting for the flash to go off!



Seems we already have an athlete on our hands (throwing the soccer ball!)


And when we change his clothes and leave his shirt around his head, he just smiles, laughs and thinks it's so funny!

The frog was given to Abe from his friend Mckenzie...and he loves his frog!

Abe's First Birthday!

Here are a few pics from Abe's First Birthday. We have been busy, so we apologize to those who check this blog often in anticipation of new pictures only to find old pics!
We had a great day at an activity center on base with a few of the close friends, and their kids, we have made since arriving this summer.
Enjoy the pics of Abe eating his first cupcake...and believe us he practically ate the entire thing. CAN YOU SAY SUGAR RUSH? after when we got in the car he was asleep by the third block!
