Yes at first glance, it would seem as if someone hacked into my blog, just like they hacked into my paypal account this past week...a frustrating event I might add. So far they seem to have the situation under control...but uhm if you don't see any more posts it's because someone stole our identity and wiped out our existence...
Praise God that He is greater than even the most savy computer evil people.

no, the above letter was written by no other than Abraham himself. He just wanted to say hi to everyone, and today he said, "dad, I want to type it myself!" so...I let him...

course the keyboard is covered in drool now, but then again, what keyboard isn't????

Speechless

It amazes me that one could love a child so much. It's difficult sometimes when it's time to put Abraham down for a nap. He's tired, we know he needs to sleep, he knows he needs to sleep..but yet he still cries and looks up at you from his crib with eyes that say, "please don't go...Pick me up and hold me a little longer."

I know it sounds silly, but as much as we do let him cry to sleep, there are the times when it's so hard not to just hold him close and let him know how much we do love him...

tonight during one of these moments I coudn't help but shed tears in the wonder of what it must have felt like for the Father to leave His Only son on the Cross. To face an unkind and evil world, to bear the pain and sin, and punishment for us who did not love Him....

What it must have felt like for Jesus to look up to His daddy and see him not do anything....for the sake of man kind, that we too might be called God's children.
Jesus, died. His Father had to refrain from coming to his rescue...........

Could I ever do the same?? I don't know that I could......how greatful I am that God is God and I am not....and even then....words can't speak for the pain and grief, and the hope and the joy all at the same time...I'm so glad....my heart is glad that Jesus rose again, and is alive and well with His Daddy.....

The Kid

After repeated requests of more pictures of abraham, I have decided to post some in order of latest to earliest... Just because....so we were looking at this one last night and couldn't believe how big he's gotten. Already starting to feed himself and with such a resemblence to his father...amazing...they grow up so fast...

bears again!!!!

AHHHHH!!! It's another bear!!! Nope.. But it is a wonderful cake my beautiful wife made for me :) Isn't it lovely??? The kids loved it, not to mention it was really yummy....too bad you can't taste the screen...

in the snow

yes we went up hunting behind the house today. not sure what we'd find, but did see some moose tracks...course once we started roaming around then came back to where we were, there were some fresh tracks...some moose pee pee. decided we'd follow the tracks to see what we'd find....not that we could shoot the moose cause the season's closed...but just to test our stalking and tracking skills as renowned outdoorsmen famous in 3 countries we decided to pursue this creature. Although these tracks weren't that big. We did see one that I thought looked like it should belong to a small dinosaur. Well, maybe not that big.. but it was big...like size of my head big...course I could just have a small head too...anyway, here's some pics yogi was kind enough to shoot. first one is just me, yes my legs are deep in the snow. at least that's what it looks like..snow really wasn't that deep but the special effects are awesome...the second is me picking out a few thorns in my hand from grabbing something called devil's club without gloves on...not that the gloves would be all that helpful...but at least it would have been better than not having a glove...which goes to show what an idiot I am for trying to grab it without gloves....anyway....I'm gonna go to bed. again so I can wake up for work later tonight.

bears..

Here are some pics of me and Yogi moose hunting..yes moose hunting.. no moose, but we were surrounded by 4 bears at one time... close enough to make us nervous...not scared enough to run...well of course running would be stupid...not like we could go anywhere...at one point we were back to back. Yogi's getting ready to arrow a bear coming up hill from us. I'm facing up hill with a 44 magnum and 12 guage shotgun making sure 3 other bears above us aren't gonna mis behave and decide to snack on us... finally he shoots arrows the bear at 6 yards away!!! that's close...a little too close!! closer than I'd like to be next to any bear really....1st pics a little tough to see but if you stare real hard above yogi's hat you can see a sow looking at us thinking, "hmmm...snack or no snack? i'm running low on bear snacks..." needless to say we had adventure we'll never forget and boy was that bear meat good!!!! best meat I've ever had...period.

I'll try and find some pics of that bear that was walking on our deck...we never got the camera out in time.. but no joke that bear was 2 feet away from wendy!!! on the other side of the window...yup mom and wendy we're playing a board game and then this bear came up and walked on our deck just behind them!! it was pretty wild...literally. ha!

course just last week some lady over in town was bit in the rear end by a grizzly bear and her cub....lady got bit and the bear ran off....not sure what made the bear run away after biting her butt...but i'm sure whatever it was that scared her off the lady was glad... I would try and research what exactly in the ladies rear scared the bear, harness that power and sell it on the market as a bear repellant...up here in Alaska, we need bear repellant and that lady is sitting on a million bucks!!! no pun intended...

anyhow...next up, me shooting a bird with a bow...maybe??

I think I will try and not post so many pics next time....too much overload.. too many awesome colors and people...animals and other stuff.. can't enjoy the simplicity of...one picture.......

oh, by the way today was my birthday.. no I don't have pics yet...cause I'm lazy..but we spent it with yogi and his family. Wendy made me a cake in the shape of a bear.... way cool!! seeing how we have bears everywhere we turn. might as well put one in the house and eat it....

you think I'm kidding, but the bears like to walk on our deck and look into our window while we're playing board games! Just ask my Mom and Wendy!!!

I can't sleep but, I'm going to try now.

we'll now that we've settled in and it started snowing..here's the last few months in quick review. Some pics from my family's visit in august, for your viewing enjoyment here's some views from our deck from the fall that has come and gone. My favorite is the moose under the deck using our hill as a rest stop...and of course the family and abe!

I figure if pictures are worth a thousand words...then more pictures less talking.
